The whole policy in one sentence. If your rate has not gone up within sixty days of buying, email ruth@howmuchshouldichargeforbabysitting.com and we will refund you in full, and you keep everything you downloaded.
Why it is written that way
This is a product about asking for money. It would be strange to sell it and then make you fight for a refund. So we do not ask you to prove anything, delete anything, or explain yourself.
We would genuinely rather you had the book than argued with us about $47.
How to get one
- Email ruth@howmuchshouldichargeforbabysitting.com from the address you bought with.
- Say you would like a refund. That is the entire requirement.
- We process it within three business days. It reaches your card in five to ten days after that, depending on your bank, not on us.
If you no longer have access to that email address, tell us the approximate date and the last four digits of the card and we will find it.
What you keep
Everything. We do not revoke download links and we do not ask you to delete the PDF. If the material was worth reading it is worth keeping, and a refund is about the money, not about taking something back.
The order bump
If you added The Paperwork at checkout you can refund the whole order or just the add-on. Say which when you email. Refunding one does not force you to refund the other.
After sixty days
The guarantee runs out, but write to us anyway. If something genuinely went wrong — a file that never arrived, a charge you did not make, an edition that turned out to be wrong for your country — we will sort it out regardless of the date.
Chargebacks
Please email us before contacting your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee on top of the refund and takes months to resolve, and we would have refunded you in a day. We have never refused a refund request and we do not intend to start.
If you are in the EU or UK
Digital products normally lose their statutory fourteen day cancellation right the moment you download them, and you agree to that at checkout so we can deliver instantly. Our sixty day guarantee is offered voluntarily on top of that and is considerably more generous, so in practice it makes no difference to you.
Free things
The rate calculator and the rate card are free and always will be. There is nothing to refund and nothing to cancel. You can unsubscribe from the emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every one.
